Corporation tax deadlines

The deadline for Corporation Tax payments are scheduled for 9 months and 1 day after year end. This means that the deadline can change and is dependant on your year end.

Corporation tax returns can be submitted anytime up to 12 months after the accounting year end. 

​

Companies with a year end of 31 December 2023, for example, would need to submit their accounts at Companies House by 30 September 2024, pay their Corporation Tax by 1 October 2024 and submit their Company tax return by 31 December 2024. Corporation Tax is paid by all UK limited companies.

 

Here is an example of Corporation Tax dates for limited companies to follow 2024-25 tax year:

For period ended 31 December 2024

Due Date to file annual accounts with Companies House 30 September 2025

Due date for payment of Corporation Tax for period ended 1 October 2025

Due date to file a Company Tax Return for period ended 31 December 2025

For period ended 31 March 2025

Due Date to file annual accounts with Companies House 31 December 2025

Due date for payment of Corporation Tax for period ended 1 January 2026

Due date to file a Company Tax Return for period ended 31 March 2026
